Dorma Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Dorma, the dream journal app for iPhone operated by FEJEN DİJİTAL PAZARLAMA DANIŞMANLIK TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“Fejen Ltd.”, “we”, “us”). By tapping “I have read and accept” in the app, or by using Dorma, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. How these terms relate to Apple’s EULA
You get Dorma from Apple’s App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) applies to it: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These Terms of Use add service-specific terms on top of the Standard EULA. They form part of it. If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict on the licence to use the app, the Standard EULA governs. For everything else about the Dorma service, these terms apply.
As the Standard EULA says, Apple is not responsible for Dorma or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Standard EULA.
2. What Dorma is, and what it is not
Dorma lets you record dreams by voice or text. It offers interpretations from three perspectives (Freud, Jung and Lacan), conversations about a dream, cultural readings, generated images, and weekly and monthly reflections on your dreams over time.
Dorma is not a medical, psychological or therapeutic service.
- It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It is not a substitute for a doctor, psychologist or therapist.
- Interpretations are possibilities to reflect on, not facts about you, your health or your future.
- If you are in distress or think you may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional straight away.
3. AI-generated content
Interpretations, replies, readings, reflections and images are produced by AI services (see the Privacy Policy, section 7).
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive or unexpected, and two similar dreams may be read differently.
- Images are symbolic and stylized. They are not literal pictures of you or your dream.
- Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.
- Each dream gets AI-generated text and images made for it. Similar output may still be generated for other users.
4. Who can use Dorma
You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms. Dorma is not intended for children, and its App Store age rating is 18+.
5. Your account
- You sign in with Apple only. Keep access to your Apple Account safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account belongs to one person. Please do not share it.
- You can sign out or delete your account in the app at any time (section 11).
6. Subscriptions and dream credits
All purchases are made through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment, and Apple’s Media Services Terms also apply to it. We never receive your card details.
Dorma Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or yearly. It includes one dream interpretation per day, and conversations and cultural readings for your dreams. An unused daily interpretation does not carry over to the next day.
Dream Credits are one-time purchases in packs of 1, 5 or 10. Each credit opens one dream in full: its interpretation, conversations, cultural readings and full-quality image. You can use a credit for a new dream or to open one you recorded earlier. A credit pack does not require a subscription.
Prices are shown in the App Store and on the purchase screen, in your local currency, before you confirm. There is no free trial.
Auto-renewal (please read)
- Your subscription is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically at the same price and for the same period (one month or one year), unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If the price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
- To manage or cancel: open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Dorma. You can also go to Dorma › Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription › Manage in App Store. If you cancel, the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Deleting your Dorma account or the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Apple’s settings.
Dream credits
- Credits never expire. They wait in your account until you use them.
- Credits have no cash value. They cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
- When you create a dream, your daily subscription interpretation is used first, if you have one, and a credit is used after that.
- Credits are linked to your Dorma account. If you delete your account, unused credits are lost.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall Dorma or move to a new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases. You find it under Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription, or on the purchase screen.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds under its own policies. To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves. If Apple refunds a credit pack, the matching credits are removed from your balance. If Apple refunds a subscription, the access it gave ends.
Family Sharing
Dorma purchases are not shared through Family Sharing. If a family organizer has turned on Ask to Buy, your purchase starts once they approve it.
7. Your content
“Your content” means the dreams, messages and personal details you enter.
- You own your content. We claim no ownership of it.
- You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and transmit your content only to provide Dorma to you. That includes sending it to our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the limited records described in the Privacy Policy.
- The interpretations and images created for you are yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use of generated images is not allowed.
- Only enter content you have the right to share. Avoid entering other people’s sensitive details without good reason.
8. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use Dorma for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- try to get around purchases, limits or security, or get into another person’s account or data;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the app or its servers, except where the law allows it;
- use automated means to create accounts or content;
- use Dorma, or what it generates, to build a competing AI product or to train AI models.
9. Our intellectual property
The Dorma app, name, design, texts, symbols and software belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the licence in Apple’s Standard EULA and the rights in section 7, you receive no rights in them.
10. Changes to the service
We keep improving Dorma, so features may change. If we stop offering Dorma altogether, we will announce it in the app at least 30 days in advance. You can use your credits until that day. Refund requests go through Apple (see section 6).
11. Ending your use, and account deletion
- You can stop using Dorma at any time. To delete your account and data permanently, use Settings › Delete Account, or More › Account on the purchase screen. See Privacy Policy section 11 for what is removed.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and explain why.
12. Disclaimers
Dorma is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose. Nothing in Dorma is medical, psychological or professional advice.
13. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on AI output. Any limit on the total amount of our liability is the one set in Apple’s Standard EULA, which these terms supplement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for gross negligence or intent. Nothing in these terms affects mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Dorma will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Fejen Ltd. submit to their jurisdiction.
This does not take away any mandatory protection that the law of the country where you live gives you as a consumer.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date and version at the top will change. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app and may ask you to accept it again. If you keep using Dorma after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Dorma and delete your account.
